What type of mobile device do you use, and do you like it? It seems everyone has one these days, and tech-savvy people such as ourselves usually have smartphones. Which do you have, do you like it, and how does it help you with your online business?

I currently have the Motorola Droid (android), and I absolutely love it. It does everything I need it to do, and the interface is really easy to use (after getting used to it). While the android OS itself does lack a lot of features that it really needs, such as a sleep timer for music, and custom ringtones for text messages (there are more faults than just these examples), whatever you can't do with the OS originally, you can find an app that will do just that. I found an application to fix both of the issues I just listed above, and there are sooo many more apps that are must-haves.

The apps I use the most are as-follows:
Facebook (really poor app in comparison to the itouch/iphone version)
3banana(notes that sync with your pc)
Gameboy Emulators(for pokemon)
Billboard (for keeping track of bills)
MusicSleep
UltraChron (stopwatch)
Paypal
Google Maps (free turn-by-turn navigation with voice directions)
SMSPopup
Astro File Manager
Digiclock
Fandango (for getting movie times/locations)
eBuddy (msn messenger)
PdaNet (tethers my mobile internet to my pc ANYWHERE, for FREE)
Photobucket
Shazam (song recognition software)
Sportstap (notifications when my teams are playing and I can't actually watch the game)
The Weather Channel
Swype (beta)

In addition to this, I have my websites email/text me when I get payments or support queries. This comes in very handy because when I send through email, I can attach links that help me respond even faster. IE, if I get a paid support query, I get an email instantly to my phone that shows the query, who it was from, a link to message them back on the forums(which I can do straight from my phone browser), and a link to spam the query or accept it.

All in all I think this phone helps me GREATLY with all the things I am doing online and if you don't have a smartphone as a webmaster yet, you should get one, and I would highly suggest android over the iphone/itouch, simply because it is open source, so there is no real regulation which lets app developers really do anything they want. The iphone/itouch app store is great, but apple rejects useful apps, while android does not.

Hope someone else will share!

I have a Blackberry Curve (got it a few months ago), and now I can't live without it! EMail, web, messaging, MP3 player and phone all in one device. Considered an iPhone, until I got a load of the price (and AT&T's expensive monthly fees) and passed.

I have the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. It's an AWESOME phone, and it is Android. And as Cronus said; for everything that isn't on the Phone, there is the Android Market for it! I mainly use the Facebook and MSN application. The Battery life isn't great; but then again; with a new phone + on it ALL the time; the battery isn't going to last.
