Player Shops [24]

This mod will allow your users to create their own shop on your game for a price. Once they have a shop, they are able to add items from their inventory to the shop so that other players can purchase the items.

Description of mod features

• Item quantification - When a shop owner adds an item to their shop that they have more than one of, it will ask them how many they want to add. On top of that, if they already have this item in their shop it will just add on to the quantity of the preexisting item. However, if the price is different (say they want to sell a bat for $20 and another bat for $10) it will add it as a separate listing. If a buyer is trying to buy an item from a shop that has more than one of said item, it will ask the player how many they wish to purchase.
• Incremental/Fixed shop price - By default, the cost for opening a store is $1000 plus an additional $1000 per shop already opened. The code for making it is now fixed price in the script. All you have to do to make it a fixed price is uncomment it and delete or comment out the incremental price code. (It is commented for easier modification)
• Shop Till - When an item is purchased from a shop, the money from that purchase goes into the shop's till. The shop owner can withdraw this money at any time.
• Detailed Purchase Logs - When a purchase is made from a player's shop, the purchase is logged. The shop owner can view the logs, which include the date of the purchase, the item and quantity, the buyer's name with a link to their profile, and the total sale price. The shop owner will also receive an event immediately after the purchase telling them that the item has been purchased.
• Shop Sizes and Upgrades - The starting item capacity for a player shop is 5 items. A shop owner can upgrade this via their shop panel. Default upgrade price is $100*The New Capacity. It is quite easy to modify this. I feel that the player's need to upgrade their shop will motivate them to play more to get the money to do so, as well as give them a sense of accomplishment.
• Shop Item Search Tool - This allows users to search through shops for a specific item. If any item is found in a shop that matches or is close to the player's search query, it will be listed. Only the 20 best priced results are listed in order to save bandwidth.
• Item Management - Shop owners can view an inventory of their shop's items, and modify the prices, or remove the item altogether.
• Shop Signs - Although its not a part of the gameplay aspect of the shops, it does add to the fun-factor. Users can choose a sign for their shop. This sign will be displayed in the shops list beside their shop name. If no sign is chosen, then a default image saying "You see no sign in front of this shop" is shown instead. The sign is also displayed in the shop front. If there is no sign chosen, no sign will be displayed on the shop's page.
• Name/Description Modifiable - Users can modify their shop's name or description whenever they wish.
• Close Shop - If a player decides they are tired of running their shop, they can close it. It will ask them if they are sure. The shop owner will not be able to close the shop if items are still in the shop.

This mod is secured from SQL injection and is available in both Version 1 and Version 2.
