question about reselling revamps.
« on: October 07, 2009, 02:07:28 PM »
ok. I know how to code and all but I got 1 more question. I know how to revamp McCodes into something better than what it looks. something that is more secured more organized and more reliable. I want to know if I revamp everything and also edit graphics and stuff, I want to know if I'm able to sell the codes and name it something else beside McCodes Revamp?

also the crons will be edited and so is config and all. don't ask till I get this project done myself.

No, you cannot resell the mccode script in any way, shape, or form.

so I just can't modify everything and add new things to the site where it makes it look like someone elses codes and game scripts? I was just think taking out some things and inserting most the pages I would like to put in there.

also what about putting it in open source?

one more question, is there a license that I have to buy to resell Mccodes?

You cannot resell mccodes, not even if you change it to look like someone elses work.
If you want one that you can resell or modify and sell, you have to make your own.

For the final time.
If you want to sell or give away anything you have to make it yourself.
You can't edit windows and then go giving it out for free, the same rules apply here.

actually, there is a person who edited windows and microsoft doesn't care about it and the person takes windows XP, windows vista, and windows 7 that is coming out and revamping it where it looks like windows but they copyrighted the microsoft codes so no one sells them.

me, I think it doesn't matter as long as it doesn't look like the same layout and the same graphics. I know their site too. as shown here. http://www.rtwincustomize.net/web/viewforum.php?f=10. they have every revamp for free. but some needs windows activation codes and some don't. that is what I'm using is one of their revamps for free but I had to get the code from my school because they provide free windows codes. also doing some research on the web. I have came up with McCodes that people are providing for free. but they have to pay for the hosting from them and the support for editing the site.

Windows DOES care, but that sites servers are most likely hosted offshore. Or they simply don't know about it yet.

Also the people already selling mccodes are not supposed to. Obviously anyone could go around selling it, but if dbs/cb ever grew a pair and started prosecuting they would be at fault. You are not allowed to resell in any way, shape, or form unless you have permission from the creators.

Edit: Fixed some spelling errors

It's typical human behavior, you have freedom of choice.
What you do with the choices you have, is eventually what type of person you are.

You say that taking MCCodes isn't something anyone cares about? Wrong, take this example for instance; Would you steal a car? It's the same principle, stealing is stealing.

There's a saying in Afrikaans "die deler is net so goed soos die steler", it means that the person using it, is just as guilty as the person who stole it in the first place.
There's actually laws in place for this type of people too, like another example; you withhold information from an investigation, you can land in jail for that alone - some thing as stealing.

I rest my case, stealing is illegal, and everyone starts somewhere, maybe it's just a few "codes" now, but eventually it will lead to store items, cars and then you will have no dignity left.

Sure you can resell mccodes

Change every single File

Change every single database table

Change config file

Oh wait...then you have a new engine.

As for security lol...link to  your site please I'd like to be an admin and upload a shell.
