getting images for items for game

Hello there,

I think this would be the right place to post this and i am hoping someone can help me.

I have recently carried on with a game project, and i still cant get my head around how to get images for the items and weapons for players to see. Can anyone tell me how i would be able to do this, because just text games are boring and i want to have these images so players know what they are using and buying ect.
